Saudi Crown Prince Sends Condolences to Emirati President on Death of Brother

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, sent a telegram to the President of the Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, condoling the death of his brother, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The text of the telegram, according to what was published by the official Saudi Press Agency, stated: “I received news of the death of your brother, His Highness Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, and I send to your highness and to the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates, and to the family of the deceased my warmest condolences and sincere sympathy, asking the Almighty God that May he be covered with the abundance of his mercy and forgiveness, and dwell him in his spacious gardens, and to protect you from all harm, for He is Hearing and Responsive.

The agency stated that “the Saudi Crown Prince also made a call to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, offering condolences, in addition to his contact with His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, National Security Adviser in the United Arab Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State.” UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The agency stated that Prince Mohammed bin Salman “expressed, during the phone calls, his sincere condolences and sympathy to their Highnesses on the death of their brother, His Highness Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, praying to God Almighty for the deceased’s mercy and forgiveness, and to dwell him in his spacious paradise.”
