Hotel Clash: Stabbing Over Salt-Less Curry in Kundera (Kollam)

Kundera (Kollam) ∙ 6 people were injured, including 3 people who were stabbed in the hotel because they said there was no salt in the chicken curry. Mohammad Shafin (31), Mohammad Azhar (29), sons of the hotel owner, and Prince (35), a resident of Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, were stabbed in Kutti, which operates near Mammoot Junction.

Prince’s maternal brother Robinson (40), his friend Arun (23), a native of Ambasamudram, and Shafin’s driver, Rashidin Islam, were 3 others who were hit on the head with a wire rod. The natives of Tamil Nadu collect jackfruit from Kerala and sell it back home.

The incident happened around 1 am yesterday. Prince told Robinson that the chicken curry served lacked salt. Hearing this, the hotel employee called Mohammad Shaf and there was an argument. During the argument, Shafeen beat up Robinson. The three were beaten and left the hotel. He immediately came back with Arun and got into a fight with the hotel staff which resulted in a knife attack. Prince and Robinson stabbed the hotel owners in the stomach. A case of attempted murder has been registered against natives of Tamil Nadu. A case has also been registered against the hotel authorities.
