Roger Federer, the Swiss tennis star and former 20-time Grand Slam champion, is currently on vacation in Croatia. Federer was spotted on Monday at the Krka National Park, wearing a hat but still quickly recognized by people visiting the popular tourist destination in Croatia.
Visitors to the park approached Federer for photos and autographs, and the Swiss player graciously took selfies and signed autographs for everyone who asked. The Krka National Park is known for its breathtaking waterfalls and one of the most beautiful landscapes in all of Europe.
Recently, Federer has been the most coveted subject for photographers in Croatia. He has been spotted in Skradin and has visited many locations in the country, including the Krka National Park. He also visited the agrotourism facility ‘Kristijan’ near Roški Slap, owned by Ante Skelin.
This is not the first time Federer has visited Croatia. In 2021, he visited the island of Losinj with his former coach Ivan Ljubicic. Ljubicic, a Croatian tennis legend, has a tennis academy in Losinj, and Federer took the opportunity to visit his ex-coach’s academy during his time in Croatia.
Since retiring from professional tennis, Federer has been enjoying a more relaxed life and spending more time with his family. However, it was revealed that Federer made significant efforts to make a comeback in 2022 before realizing it was simply not possible. Ljubicic, who worked with Federer until the tennis legend decided to end his career, spoke about Federer’s determination and resilience during his recovery from surgeries.
“He gritted his teeth until the very last moment. I was impressed by the way he fought back after his surgeries and invested hours in those tedious, monotonous exercises. Four or five hours a day, knowing that he could only hit balls again months later. You have to be mentally strong for that. And no one guarantees that you will ever play again. He believed until the very last moment. And when it no longer works, you just have to accept it. That was the only way his career could end,” said Ljubicic.
As Federer continues to enjoy his vacation in Croatia, fans and tourists alike are thrilled to catch a glimpse of the tennis legend in such a beautiful setting.
