Youri Mulder is someone whom the TV viewer may not have immediately expected as a regular guest in the talk show before the start of the program The Orange Summer. But the ex-footballer was really there last night (and the coming evenings). He immediately made fun of things, for example about the VVD and the moment when the cabinet was dropped.
Normally we only see Youri Mulder analyzing in football talk shows. With Hélène Hendriks on SBS6, the former player of FC Twente and Schalke 04 can shed light on many more subjects. Youri Mulder suddenly comes out of the corner
“How do you actually look at Johan?”, Hélène Hendriks wants to know from Youri Mulder. “Sure,” is the reply. “Because Johan says what he has on his mind. There are not many in the Netherlands, so I like to look at that.” But then, Youri Mulder almost out of the blue: “I was wondering… Maybe you could tell me Raymond (political scientist Raymond Mens, ed.), aren’t you a spin doctor at the VVD?” Man: “Been.” Mulder again: “That they thought at the VVD after all: ‘Johan Derksen is not on TV… we are now going to start the cabinet crisis. It cannot touch us in the coming weeks.”
Youri Mulder says it with a smile and Raymond Mens also sees the humor in the assumption: “Well, the influence of Johan Derksen reaches far. It could be, but I don’t think that’s the case. Especially since, of course, Mark then decided that he would not continue.” “Mark Rutte?”, another guest Frits Barend adds. “Mark Rutte yes, sorry,” says Mens. Hendriks: “He can say Mark.” Finally, Mens: “Derksen would of course respond very positively to that, because they also said that directly to him (Mark Rutte, ed.). You would actually say: then you should do it correctly if VI still there.”

Divided opinions about Youri Mulder
The viewers liked The Orange Summer Youri Mulder’s debut actually succeeded? Yes and no, because opinions on social media were quite divided last night. One Ineke didn’t feel like looking up something herself: “Who is Youri Mulder?” A person with the not so positive name Nothing Dan Misery thought it was just “boring bullshit”. Linda really liked ‘Joeri’ and… well, on to the next four episodes, Youri Mulder will think.
