The National Bank of Egypt announced, in a statement today, Tuesday, the offering of personal loans in Egyptian pounds for Egyptians working abroad, with a guarantee of their salaries, at an interest rate that is 2.25% lower than the lending rate at the Central Bank, as of tomorrow, Wednesday.
The bank stated that the loans are guaranteed by salary for Egyptians working abroad, equal to the value of the installment in foreign currency from abroad, with a minimum loan of 50 thousand pounds and a maximum of 3 million pounds, and it is repaid over a period of up to 4 years and without any administrative expenses, with the application of all conditions and guarantees.
The customer is also granted free life insurance, from the age of 21 until reaching the age of sixty, with the last installment due, according to the statement.
Loan installments are paid by assigning foreign currencies according to the exchange rate announced at the time of payment, at an interest rate of 2.25% less than the lending rate of the Central Bank of Egypt at the time of obtaining the loan. Documents for granting financing are available on the bank’s website, provided that the customer signs them at any of the bank’s branches, and any additional channels that will be announced soon.
