Police Arrests Family Members for Headless Male Corpse in Tokyo Hotel Room

Police Japan arrested at least three people who were still in the same family regarding the findings headless male corpse in the hotel room that is on Hokkaido, three weeks ago. The three people arrested consisted of a woman and her parents, one of whom is a psychiatrist.

As reported Associated PressTuesday (25/7/2023), the Hokkaido Police announced the arrest of a woman identified as Runa Tamura (29) and her father Osamu Tamura (59), who works as a psychiatrist, on Monday (24/7) local time.

The two were arrested on suspicion of conspiring to behead the victim inside a hotel room in Hokkaido’s popular nightlife district, then removing the victim’s severed head in the middle of the night between July 1 and July 2.

The head of the victim identified as Hitoshi Ura (62) has been reported missing since then.

Police searched the houses of the suspects on Tuesday (25/7) local time and arrested a 60-year-old woman named Hiroko Tamura, who is the mother of Runa who is the main suspect in this case.

Hiroko, who works as a part-time worker, is suspected of having conspired with her child and husband in transporting and moving the victim’s severed head at the family’s house.

Police did not say exactly how the father and son collaborated. The police are still investigating the motive in this beheading case and refuse to reveal whether Runa and the victim knew each other.
