Yesterday, Friday evening, around 8.45 p.m., the fire brigades from the Soest, HSK and Unna districts responded with a large contingent to a fire in an industrial plant on the main street. A machine in a rolling mill caught fire for reasons that have not yet been clarified, which then quickly spread to the roof and an adjacent workshop. All workers were able to leave the scene of the fire in time, so that no personal injuries occurred. As a precaution, a warning was issued due to the significant smoke development. Measurements by the fire brigade showed that the smoke posed no danger to the population. The fire brigade continued to put out the fire until Saturday morning. The amount of damage is significant; the damage cannot be precisely quantified at the moment. In the meantime, the B 63 had to be completely closed in both directions.
