The SSA has already sent some payments for this month and is preparing to send the last payment on July 26.

According to the schedule established by the SSA, generally, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits are mailed on the first day of each month. However, if the first day of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the payment is advanced to the last Friday of the previous month.
On the other hand, the 3rd day of each monththe SSA sends the money to the beneficiaries who began receiving their payments before May 1997. If the third day of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the payment is also advanced.

Taking into account the previous schedule, since the first day of July fell on a Saturday, this month’s SSI payment was advanced and mailed on June 30. That is why SSI recipients received two payments in June, but have no payments scheduled in July.
In addition, this month, the SSA already sent payment for beneficiaries who began receiving their benefits before May 1997. On July 12, payment was sent for beneficiaries with dates of birth between the 1st and 10th.
