Video circulating on Twitter; will Ajax play a friendly match on Tuesday?

A video is currently circulating on it Twitter which contains an announcement of an Ajax friendly match on Tuesday. However, the fragment in which presenter Aviv Levy Shoshan announces the game is no longer part of the video that the club currently has online. So it remains to be seen whether Ajax will actually come into action on Tuesday, but if the match actually takes place, SpVgg Unterhaching will be the opponent.

Ajax selection lands safely in Germany

The selection of Ajax landed safely in Germany on Monday afternoon, the club announced via Twitter. Ajax is holding a six-day training camp at its eastern neighbors, with Maurice Steijn’s team taking on FC Augsburg in an exhibition match. Ajax will return home after Saturday. On Sunday, August 6, a German opponent will also follow with Borussia Dortmund, but that match is separate from the training camp that the club will complete in the coming days.

Last Ajax training before training camp in Germany

Ajax trained at Sportpark de Toekomst on Tuesday prior to the training camp in Herzogenaurach, Germany, as can be read on Twitter. The team of trainer Maurice Steijn will travel to southern Germany later in the day. Ajax can use the facilities on the Adidas World of Sports campus until July 29. On Saturday, the club closes the training camp with a practice match against FC Augsburg. The match takes place in the WWK Arena; the stadium of Augsburg which is about two hours drive from Herzogenaurach. It kicks off at 15:00.
