The Grand Paris Express explained to everyone
This afternoon in June, Jean-Emmanuel is leading two tours for the general public.
3 p.m. The first group arrives, made up of about twenty people. Children, adults, couples… everyone came to discover the backstage of the construction of the Grand Paris Express and follow the journey of a future traveller, from the metro platforms to the station hall.
Very interested, the visitors test the furniture of the future stations, take photos, explore the 3D model available… Jean-Emmanuel does not hesitate to make them interact: “Who already knows what the Grand Paris Express is? » he asks. “A 100% automatic metro that will allow you to go from suburb to suburb. » instinctively replies a young railroad schoolboy.
“Children are often prescribers. They are the ones who introduce their parents to the Fabrique du métro, sometimes even as young as 7 years old. » confides Jean-Emmanuel to us.
Throughout the visit, questions abound. And the mediator has no room for error. “Has the health crisis impacted the project? » : Jean-Emmanuel recalls that the construction sites were effectively put on hold for several weeks before very gradually resuming their activity.
“Will line 11 be extended? » : “This line is not part of the Grand Paris Express but I can already tell you that it will cross line 15 at Rosny Bois-Perrier. »
An hour and a half later, Jean-Emmanuel accompanies the first group to the exit answering the last questions. There are many thanks, some even send him a note in the guestbook placed at the entrance to the Fabrique du métro.
