Eight Injured in Bronx Building Fire, Including Seven Firefighters: Fire Under Control

A fire broke out in a building in the Bronx on Monday afternoon which left eight injured, a civilian and seven firefighters. None of the injured is in danger.

In the images, the intense smoke is observed in a three-story building on Castle Hill Avenue in the Unionport neighborhood.

“FDNY members continue to operate a 3-alarm fire at 1103 Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx. Use caution in the area,” the FDNY wrote in a mid-afternoon social media post.

Firefighters later reported that the fire was under control.
