Marko Korošec’s Warning: Dangerous Weather Looming in the Balkans with Tornadoes, Hail, and Strong Thunderstorms

The famous Slovenian meteorologist Marko Korošec issued one of the most serious warnings about dangerous weather looming in the Balkans, local media reported.

Koroshets, author of a series of articles on the weather portal heavy-weather.eu, predicted that after numerous bouts of storms with high winds, tornadoes and large-sized hail in northern Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and parts of Serbia, severe weather problems are now looming again, including large hail, as another strong frontal wave moves in over the overheated land.

Storms with gale-force winds, strong thunderstorms, including supercells with very large hail, tornadoes and torrential rain are expected in Italy, in the central and central Balkans. Areas along the Adriatic Sea, where the tourist season is in full swing, should be monitored particularly carefully, he points out.

Average temperatures will be 10 to 12 degrees above normal, far above 30 degrees, BTA reported. Maximum daytime temperatures are expected to reach 40-46 degrees in Serbia, Albania, the Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.
