Spotify raises prices in the US for Premium subscriptions by one dollar. Prices will also be adjusted in a number of other countries, including Norway.
Subscriptions will receive an email about the price changes, the company writes in the press release.
Spotify CEO Daniel EK has previously stated that the company is considering price increases in the US, after, among others, Apple Music has increased its prices.
– It is very good for us when our competitors raise their prices, said Ek in connection with a presentation of results in October last year, according to the website Variety.
The music streaming service has over 200 million Premium subscriptions globally. During the first three months of 2023, the company gained five million new subscribers.
