With heat waves exceeding 50 degrees every day in Death Valley, USA, tourists are flocking to experience the extreme heat.

According to the British daily Guardian report on the 22nd (local time), Death Valley National Park, a canyon that straddles the states of California and Nevada in the United States, is constantly visited by tourists as the temperature exceeds 50 degrees this summer.

Death Valley once recorded the world’s highest temperature in 1913 with a temperature of 56.67 degrees Celsius.

An official from Death Valley National Park said, “We expected that the number of tourists would decrease due to the heat wave, but contrary to expectations, people are looking for this place to experience the heat wave.”

Although the worst heatwave continues in Death Valley, tourists do not cease to visit. In particular, warnings such as “Heat kills!”

Just this week, tourists took pictures in front of a visitor information center with a thermometer approaching 123 to 124 degrees Fahrenheit (50.5 to 51.1 degrees Celsius) in the background, then hurriedly moved to the shelter.

Those who took pictures with me while in a cool car were surprised by the heat and went inside the information center in just one or two minutes.

Abby Wines, the manager of Death Valley Park, said that March-April and July-August are the peak seasons for Death Valley, with about 100,000 visitors per month.

Accidents such as punctured tires of vehicles in motion are frequent as the roads become hot.

In fact, there have been two deaths this month alone. On the 18th, a 71-year-old man died on the Death Valley hiking course, and on the 3rd, a man in his 60s was found dead in a car near the North Highway in Death Valley National Park. Both suspect the heat was the cause.
