According to the police, early Monday morning, July 24, a previously unknown road user on the B 31a near Umkirch lost several squared timbers that were obviously not adequately secured. A 39-year-old driver drove her car at 6.15 a.m. on the main road from Umkirch towards Freiburg. Between the Umkirch and Freiburg-Mitte junctions, she ran over one of the squared timbers, damaging the right front tire, making the vehicle no longer drivable and having to be towed. Witnesses who can provide information about the vehicle responsible for the accident are asked to contact the Breisach police station on 07667 91170.
