Meeting in New York: The Romantic Engagement of Garbiñe Muguruza (Provided by Tennis World UK)

Garbiñe Muguruza has decided to take an indefinite break from tennis. The 29-year-old announced earlier in the season that she would skip the clay and grass seasons. Meanwhile, the Spaniard is engaged to Spanish model Arthur Borges, to whom she is set to marry soon. A few days ago, the talented Spanish tennis player shared a story on her official Instagram account where she attended a training session of Elina Svitolina.

The two-time Grand Slam winner was very impressed with the Ukrainian’s game and called it inspirational. Here is the video:

Garbiñe Muguruza opens up about her wedding vows.

Spanish tennis champion Garbiñe Muguruza has shared her engagement photo with model Arthur Borges on her social channels, particularly Instagram. The 2016 Roland Garros winner and 2017 Wimbledon winner opened up about meeting the man of her life and revealed that the two first met in New York.

Garbiñe then explained what sparked her interest in her husband-to-be. In fact, the Spaniard let her followers know on Instagram that she’s officially engaged: “It was a pretty strange thing.

I was thinking of something completely different and he proposed to me. I started to cry. I didn’t know how to react and through tears I said yes. It was very romantic.” Garbiñe Muguruza has been dating since March 30.

January 2023 no more tennis match contested. The former world number one played in the first round in Lyon and lost to young Linda Noskova. A surprise defeat and probably the last game for some time.

In fact, Muguruza has revealed that she won’t be participating in any tournament on clay or grass anytime soon. Recently, the former Grand Slam winner left the following message on Instagram: “I spend time with my family and friends.

It was very useful and healthy, and I think I’ll extend that time until the summer. I therefore announce that I will miss the clay and grass games.” Rumor has it that Muguruza could return to the Americas tour right after the Wimbledon tournament.

Possibly she will travel to Canada or straight to the United States to compete in the US Open and maybe do some prep tournaments. In an interview with Marca, Garbiñe explained the reasons for this decision: “I will be taking a break from competitions in the coming months.

My team and I will continue to train and I will come back when I feel ready. Last year I put too much pressure on myself, I was obsessed with winning games and staying at the top.”
