The increase in the age limit applies to citizens who have the ranks of soldiers, sailors, sergeants, foremen, warrant officers and midshipmen.
Thus, the age limit for those who belong to the first category increases from 35 to 40 years, for the second category – from 45 to 50 years, for the third category – from 50 to 55 years.
In addition, the age limit for the stay of storekeepers in the mobilization reserve is increasing.
It is indicated that the rules will come into force on January 1, 2024. But until January 1, 2028, a transitional period is provided, during which citizens who are in reserve will be transferred to retirement in stages.
In addition, the law provides for the possibility of concluding a contract with a citizen who has citizenship (nationality) of another state, under the age of 52 years. This also applies to persons with a residence permit or other document confirming the right of a citizen to permanent residence in the territory of a foreign state.
The law also establishes cases of suspension of a citizen’s stay in the reserve – the call of a citizen for military service for mobilization, the conclusion of a contract for the period of military service or a contract for voluntary assistance in the performance of tasks assigned to the armed forces.
Mobilization in Russia
In September 2022, Putin announced a partial mobilization due to losses in the war against Ukraine.
For example, in order to speed up the mobilization, in Russia it was proposed to notify the mobilized about the delivery of the agenda via SMS messages. Also, the Moscow authorities offered developers to exchange volunteer employees to be sent to the front for contracts from the mayor’s office.
In addition, in the Russian Federation they want to ten times increase the fines that are associated with mobilization.
