The Minister of Tourism, Haim Katz, met with the Chinese Ambassador to Israel, Tsai Ron. The two discussed ways to deepen ties in the field of tourism, including the inclusion of Israel in China’s recommended list for group trips, and increasing the number of direct flights between the countries.
Ambassador Ron informed the Minister of Tourism that China will take part in the Israel Tourism Fair in 2024 (IMTA) and about increasing the number of weekly flights between the countries.
Minister of Tourism Haim Katz: “I was informed by the Chinese ambassador to Israel, Tsai Ron, that in September 2023 two direct weekly flights to Israel will be opened from the city of Shenzhen, which will bring us to six weekly flights between the countries. I welcome the increase in the number of flights and hope that soon, with the expansion of the list of recommended countries for group trips, we will also receive good news about the inclusion of Israel in the list.”
