Synopsis
Francis Hummel wants compensation to the families of soldiers killed in secret missions. After stealing 16 missiles rigged with poison gas, he seizes Alcatraz and threatens to drop them on San Francisco. To resolve the situation, the FBI sends a biological weapons specialist and the only escapee from the famous prison to the island.
Special agent Stanley Goodspeed (Nicolas Cage, ‘Leaving Las Vegas’) gets in touch with Mason (Sean Connery, The Trap) a weapons specialist, who, moreover, is the only one who has managed to get past all the defenses and escape from Alcatraz prison, to stop General Hummel.
