The police uncovered the motive for the deadly duel that killed one person in Citeureup, Regency Bogor, West Java. The perpetrator Diansyah (21) killed Munawar Soim (26) because he did not respond when borrowing money.
“As a result of the perpetrator’s statement, the motive was because he wanted to borrow money but the victim did not respond,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Citeureup Police, Iptu Yayan Sopian, when contacted by journalists, Monday (24/7/2023).
Yayan said the two of them were shop heads at a fried chicken shop. There had been a dispute before the discussion took place.
“Get into an argument first, then use your bare hands and then use the knife,” he explained.
Currently, Diansyah has been secured at the Citeureup Police. He had previously been treated in hospital for his injuries.
“Yes, we have secured it, we have asked for information,” he concluded.
It is known that two men were involved in a deadly duel using knives in Citeureup, Bogor, West Java. One died from injuries to his body after being hit by a knife.
“Yes, it’s true that this afternoon happened. One person died,” said the Head of the Citereup Police, Kompol Yufrialdi, to detikcom, Sunday (23/7).
The deadly duel took place in the victim’s rented house in Leuwinutug Village, Citereup District, Bogor Regency, at around 13.00 WIB. The victim died with a number of injuries after being involved in a duel with the perpetrator.
“It’s true that he (the victim) suffered injuries. It’s a one-on-one thing. So they duel with weapons, knives,” said Yufliardi.
