What happens in the border areas
Since the de-occupation of the North of Ukraine, the border regions bordering Russia have been constantly subjected to hostile attacks. During the day on July 23, according to the OVA, 13 attacks and 56 explosions were recorded in the Sumy region as a result of this.
The Russians shelled 12 settlements in 6 communities of the region:
Khotyn community – the enemy fired at the villages from a grenade launcher and hit with rockets from a helicopter. 19 explosions were recorded; Belopolskaya community – shelling from mortars and rockets from a helicopter, 18 explosions; Novoslobodskaya, Krasnopolskaya and Seredino-Budskaya communities came under mortar fire, resulting in a total of 19 explosions; Velykopisarevskaya community came under shelling, 2 explosions were recorded.
According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or destruction of civilian infrastructure.
