A cult show from the 2000s, TF1’s La Ferme Celebrities had, for two seasons, sent celebrities to Visan in the Vaucluse. Almost twenty years later, this is what the building has become.

“Goodbye limousines with driver and hello the tractor!”. Far from the Plaine Saint-Denis TV studios, it was in Visan, in the Vaucluse, that Christophe Dechavanne and Patrice Carmouze sent celebrities to try their hand at farming in 2004 and 2005. Almost two decades after this clash of cultures that brought together Massimo Gargia, Régine, Ève Angeli and Danièle Gilbert, Télé-Loisirs has found traces of this mythical Farm Celebrities.
La Ferme Celebrities: Visan was the second choice of production
First of all, many people don’t know it, but La Ferme celebrities was originally supposed to be shot in the Bouches-du-Rhône, in Fontvieille. But the company Endemol having built its first farm without a building permit and on a protected site, it had to change its plans urgently revealed Release in 2004. And it was Thierry Mariani, then deputy and mayor of Valréas, a neighboring town of Visan, who unblocked the situation by sensing the good financial and tourist vein… Two sites were offered at Endemol: one near Mont Ventoux and the second in Visan. Significant advantage: the owner of this 1,362 m2 plot is one of Thierry Mariani’s assistants. The Celebrity Farm was born!

Visan Celebrity (Ghost) Farm
But bad news for those who hoped to go there on pilgrimage: there is nothing left of the Famous Farm where now… vines are growing! Magic of television, it was actually an ephemeral wooden building created from scratch and then dismantled immediately by the Endemol teams. If the local population keeps a good memory of this period, only a few cables and pieces of plastic abandoned in a field…
Who won all three seasons of Celebrity Farm?
As a reminder, season 1 of the Celebrity Farm was won by former footballer Pascal Olmeta and the second by singer Jordy. In 2010, TF1 tried the experiment again, this time sending celebrities to Africa. An edition won by Mickaël Vendetta, since completely relapsed into anonymity. In the same theme, the first channel had also sent people to a military camp (Première compagnie in 2005) and deep in the jungle (I’m a celebrity, get me out of there! in 2006 and 2019). Hard, hard to be a celebrity…
