Realme 11 Pro+: A Game Changer in the Czech Market

The Realme 11 Pro+ has invaded the middle class on the Czech market and is definitely trying to cause a stir. After all, what competition offers 512GB memory at a price level of around 12,000 crowns? Or a 200-megapixel camera with optical stabilization and 100 W fast charging? However, is the new product well-equipped overall, or is it just playing with numbers?

The awakened Realme is slowly catching its breath and starting to return to the Czech market. In addition to the affordable pieces, we received the very pleasant news Realme 11 Pro+, which is the imaginary peak of the middle class, which by some parameters even peeks a floor higher. The main trump cards are a large curved display, a great main camera or storage that few people run out of.

Package contents: usual standard

In addition to the phone and manuals, the yellow box also contains a power adapter with a USB-A/USB-C cable and the necessary needle for pulling out the SIM slot. A nice bonus is the silicone protective case in smoke.

Construction: elegant in every inch

This time, Realme opted for rounded sides, which applies to the display and the back of the device. The sides themselves are pleasantly thin and the overall large mobile still fits well in the hand. The dominant feature is the large circular camera module on the back. The version imitating leather on the back looks just as luxurious. The more conservative-minded, however, are more likely to reach for the black version we tested, which is not shiny and hardly attracts fingerprints. The surface of the back side is pleasantly matte.

The highlight of the beauty can be the already mentioned module with cameras. Because of it, the phone sticks up when you put it down, but at least it doesn’t wobble, because the module is not on the edge. The workmanship overall is exemplary, despite the plastic materials. Overall, the phone looks the world and you can easily confuse it with more expensive pieces. Unfortunately, nothing is ideal, and Realme may have completely forgotten about increased durability, which is usually a matter of course in the upper middle class. You shouldn’t get into water or dusty environments with the 11 Pro+ model.

By today’s standards, there is a minimum of elements around the perimeter of the device. On the right are thin buttons, on the bottom edge there is USB-C and a drawer for two nano SIM cards.

We liked the good workmanship, the original design, we didn’t like the distinctive module with the camera, and the lack of resistance to water and dust

Display: large and high quality

A large display always hides behind a large phone, and it is no different in this case. Your eyes will rest on a 6.7″ AMOLED panel with a fine resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Color rendering is excellent and readability in the sun is also good, thanks to the maximum brightness of 950 nits. Thanks to AMOLED technology, there is a practical Always-On function, which is called Always on the display and you can set what will be publicly visible when the screen is locked, which is practical. The display is protected by a durable glass, but the manufacturer does not specify it in any way. ch you also get a protective film, but it is easy to scratch.

An optical fingerprint reader is integrated directly into the display. The placement is just right, but the functionality is a bit inconsistent. There are days when the reader works great, but other times it falters and does not recognize the finger, even though it is not wet or dirty.

I liked the good AMOLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, Always-On mode

Sound: just average

Sound-wise, the mobile does not try to dazzle, even though two speakers are installed, namely on the bottom edge and then just above the display. They also play quite loudly, but there is no question of any quality for listening. However, it is not something that would significantly degrade the mobile phone. You will rather listen to music through headphones, ideally wireless ones, as the 3.5mm jack is missing.

We didn’t like the sound, it doesn’t dazzle, it doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack

Hardware performance: decent

Inside the phone is the Dimensity 7050, which is just a rebranded Dimensity 1080 model, i.e. a mid-range processor and at this price level it won’t do much good. On the other hand, 12GB of RAM can support performance, so the phone will definitely not slow you down even with more demanding applications. The big attraction is the 512GB internal memory, which is unheard of in the upper middle class. By the way, Realme 11 Pro+ is the cheapest phone ever with such a large storage. After the first power-up, 486 GB is left for your data, while memory card support is missing.

Benchmark tests We didn’t like the memory card slot

Battery life: two days of range

Inside the phone is a large battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. It stands out for its above-average durability, where even with moderate use you can charge it every other evening. Less demanding ones will reach at least a day further. Battery life can also be extended by turning off Always-On mode. If you always have a standard charger at hand, you will draw energy with a power of 100 W, which means 25 minutes from a completely discharged mobile phone to 100%. Lacking support for wireless charging.

I liked the decent endurance and fast charging

Connectivity: 5G as a matter of course

Realme 11 Pro+ will offer Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS and BDS. There is also NFC, thanks to which you can make contactless payments with your phone. There is also Dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, as well as OTG functionality if you would like to connect a flash drive to the phone, for example. There is also 5G support.

Camera: emphasis on numbers

On the back, there is another trump card – a 200-megapixel main lens, which does not lack automatic focus and optical image stabilization. Images in automatic mode are created in 16 megapixels and are color true, without noise and other imperfections. We can clearly rank them among the best phones in the upper middle class. The quality does not drop significantly even in poor lighting conditions. The phone also offers you 2x zoom, which means a photo in almost lossless quality. This way you can zoom in without the phone having to have a telephoto lens.

The main camera definitely caught the eye and easily catapulted the phone among the photo cream of the upper middle class. However, it is a great pity that the rest of the lineup is significantly more modest. Admit it yourself, the ultra-wide-angle lens is certainly nice, but 8 Mpx does not inspire. It is therefore only suitable for outdoor use for landscape photography. Elsewhere, it loses at least basic sharpness and noise begins. Finally, there is a macro sensor, but completely useless due to the low resolution of 2 megapixels.

Sample photos

The video phone records very decently, you can count on 4K resolution with 30 frames per second. You will be satisfied with the fluidity and the sound.

There is a 32-megapixel front camera in the display slot for the needs of selfies, which convinces with its quality and serves well for sharing across the social world.

We liked the main camera with OIS, but we didn’t like the unnecessary macro camera

Software: latest Android with one but

The environment Realme entrusted to the hands of Android 13 and the Realme UI 4.0 superstructure, which is a proven combination. Security patches are valid as of June of this year, which is basically the latest possible. The environment works great and fast. The manufacturer succeeded in the optimization. But perfection lacks a better approach by the manufacturer to updates. He only promised two major updates and 3 years of security patches. Here it is necessary to say that, for example, Samsung offers 4 years of new Android updates and 5 years of security patches.

We liked the current system, perfect optimization

Evaluation

Realme 11 Pro+ leaves positive impressions after testing. The elegant-looking phone has a top-notch AMOLED display and a clear environment that is quick and comfortable to use. The processor could have been better, but the phone definitely doesn’t run out of breath. Users will be pleased with the high-quality main camera and really fast charging. At the same time, we cannot fail to mention the 512GB internal memory, which can hold everything you need to carry with you. The downside is the lack of increased resistance, wireless charging would be great, and support from the manufacturer could be longer. Even so, for 12.5 thousand crowns, it is an interesting phone that will not get lost. However, the competition is strong and it will not be easy.

Competition

A big competitor could be last year’s Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which is only slightly more expensive, but still offers higher performance, wireless charging, increased durability and even a telephoto lens.

If you want a younger model, this year’s Samsung Galaxy A54 is in play, which does not have a telephoto lens and wireless charging, but is slightly cheaper, boasts increased durability and significantly longer support. However, it has less internal memory.

The Xiaomi 12T is also a competitor, which competes with charging speed, performance and display. At the same price, however, it has less memory and lacks increased durability and wireless charging.
