Aguascalientes, Ags.-During the 14th National Day of Continuity of Services that will take place this weekend, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Aguascalientes will apply vaccines against COVID-19 to people over 18 years of age who require the first or second dose or any of the reinforcements.
Biologicals will also be applied to complete the Basic Vaccination Scheme corresponding to each age and gender, such as Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Polio, Influenza type B and Rotavirus infections, among others.
From July 20 to 22, these and other disease preventive actions will be carried out in the IMSS Family Medicine Units (UMF) and Zone General Hospitals (HGZ) in the entity, according to what was announced by the assistant coordinator of Public Health in this Representation, Dr. Leticia Barrios Santiago, who urged workers to take advantage of the weekends to protect the whole family.
The official reiterated that throughout this weekend the IMSS will carry out actions for the prevention of various diseases and the intentional search for people with risk factors for diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, cervical and breast cancer, among others.
To do this, health personnel carry out preventive check-ups and provide nutritional advice, guidance on sexual and reproductive health, oral and mental health.
The doctor assured that in addition to the Preventive Medicine actions, surgeries, specialty consultations and Family Medicine are also carried out to increase the capacity of care for the population.
Those interested must go to their UMF with their National Health Card, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
