Continuous Heavy Rain in South Korea Claims 47 Lives and Leaves 3 Missing

According to a report from South Korea’s Central Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 21st local time, the South Korean search and rescue department found the body of a missing person in Liquan County, North Gyeongsang Province that afternoon. As of 23:00 that day, the continuous rainstorm since the 9th of this month has caused 47 deaths and 3 missing.

As of now, nearly 2,000 residents have been evacuated due to the heavy rain, nearly 1,300 private facilities and 1,327 public facilities have been damaged, more than 34,000 hectares of crops have been submerged, and 825,000 poultry and livestock have died.
