The film for the Joker Night on Thursday, August 17th has been confirmed. On this evening, the alltours cinema is showing the brand new film Oppenheimer, which has only recently been released in cinemas. Immediately after the cinema premiere, Oppenheimer can now also be seen open air in the alltours cinema. In Christoper Nolan’s historical thriller, physicist Julius Robert Oppenheimer (Cilian Murphy) looks back on his early days, his personal life and the time during World War II when he is given the scientific leadership of the Manhattan Project. At Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, he and his team are said to be under the supervision of Lt. Leslie Groves (Matt Damon) to develop a nuclear weapon. Oppenheimer is proclaimed the “father of the atomic bomb”, but after his deadly invention is used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki with serious consequences, Oppenheimer falls into serious doubts. Another role is played by Lewis Strauss (Robert Downey Jr.), who is said to be Secretary of Commerce in President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s cabinet. It’s about his relationship with Oppenheimer after the war. Because Strauss headed the American Atomic Energy Agency, which was advised by the physicist. As Oppenheimer increasingly opposes Strauss and an arms race with Russia and advocates international control of nuclear energy, the physicist’s old connections to communism come up again…

Tickets with free choice of seats: Admission for tickets with free choice of seats costs 14 euros in advance (plus 1 euro advance booking fee) and 16 euros at the box office.
Wheelchair users and people with disabilities (and B for accompanying person on their ID) can purchase wheelchair tickets for 14 euros (plus 1 euro advance booking fee) in advance and for 16 euros at the box office.
Tickets for reserved seats: Tickets for reserved seats cost 16 euros in advance (plus 1 euro advance booking fee) and 18 euros at the box office.
Discounted tickets: Schoolchildren and students can buy tickets in advance for performances from Monday to Thursday for EUR 12 (plus EUR 1 advance booking fee) and for EUR 14 at the box office. For children up to and including eleven years of age, children’s tickets can be booked for performances with FSK 0 and FSK 6. Tickets cost 7 euros in advance (plus 1 euro advance booking fee) and 9 euros at the box office. This applies to tickets with free choice of seats as well as to reserved seats.
Online pre-sales for each film end at 4:59 p.m. on the day of the film. The box office opens daily at 5 p.m.
In addition to various cinema classics, there will be a wide range of food and drinks in the alltours cinema.
