Eleven people have been killed in arson attack at a bar in northern Mexico. A man who had been evicted from the bar earlier in the night from Friday to Saturday threw a Molotov cocktail inside, the news agency reports Reuters.
According to the preliminary findings of the local authorities, the young man was very drunk. He had been kicked out of the bar in the city of San Luis Colorado a few hours earlier for harassing female bartenders.
Early Saturday morning he came back and threw some kind of Molotov cocktail at the door of the bar. This resulted in a firestorm. This is according to a statement from the public prosecutor.
Four of the eleven fatalities are women. Four people were injured. They were treated in an American hospital. The city of San Luis Colorado is located near the border between Mexico and the United States.
The suspect has been arrested by the authorities, the mayor of San Luis Colorado reported on Twitter on Saturday evening.
