Diablo 4 Update: Changes to Address Recent Criticism and Future Plans Revealed

Diablo 4 has been facing pretty brutal, but well-deserved, criticism in recent days. It is clear to Blizzard that the latest update did not go exactly as the company had imagined. The original intention was to slow down and increase the fun, but both that and sometimes the development went in quite a different direction, so in the end, instead of praise, the company received a bunch of dissatisfied reactions.

Fortunately, the studio decided to face the situation head on. Soon, according to the information from the livestream, players will see changes to minimize the problematic factors of the new patch. The size of the stock of elixirs, the density of enemies in Nightmare dungeons, or buffs for the underutilized legendary aspects of the wizard and the barbarian should be increased. However, these changes are just the beginning.

In two weeks, players will receive a really big update, which, however, is not intended to erase the changes brought by patch 1.1. In practice, therefore, 1.1.1. some factors won’t change, for example there’s been no word on adjustments to Sorcerer’s Devouring Blaze’s massive buff. However, it is certain that Uber Uniques will drop more often, item filters and many other factors should also be improved. The specification of some novelties is yet to come.

However, the creators promise that the situation will not repeat itself in the long term, that such a fundamental balance patch would be released again without the community knowing its contents in detail. At least according to some threads on Income however, the community doesn’t have much faith in these promises, as the current patch has greatly eroded their faith in Blizzard. So we will see if the company manages to fulfill the current promises and not repeat the current stumbles.
