Summer Holiday Cinema Programme: A Multicultural Cinematic Journey for Uckermark’s Holiday Children

The Multicultural Center Templin (MKC) invites the holiday children of the Uckermark to a cinematic journey through Europe as part of its summer holiday cinema programme. The Finnish strip “Vilja and the Robbers” kicked things off on Thursday. Almost 50 children watched the film adaptation of Siri Kolu’s children’s book about the adventures of ten-year-old Vilja, who was stolen with her family and car by a cheeky gang of robbers on a vacation trip to grandma’s. Afterwards, the children were invited to a culinary event: they made themselves a delicious smörrebröd with Finnish egg butter.

Two more films

Other films from this trip include the Franco-Norwegian film The Boy and the Wild Geese, which will be shown on August 3rd at 9.30am and the Icelandic-Swedish film The Falcons – All for One, which will be shown on August 17th at 9.30am.

Combined with game actions

“The Boy and the Wild Geese tells the story of a boy who spends a summer vacation with his father in Provence and has breathtaking experiences in nature. These films are also linked to handicrafts and games.
