CONAKRY- As planned, the Extraordinary General Assembly dedicated to the adoption of the new statutes and the electoral code of the Guinean Football Federation started this Saturday, July 22 in a hotel in Conakry. The statutory members and the various delegates from within the country are already present in the room to vote on these statutes to put an end to the crisis which has long undermined Guinean football, despite the establishment of the normalization committee in 2021..
Also present are sports minister Lansana Béa Diallo, LGFP president Lucien Guilao, former FEGUIFOOT vice-president Amadou Diaby, and former League president Mathurin Bangoura. At the end of this meeting, these new revised statutes and the electoral code will unsurprisingly be voted unanimously, after the involvement of the Guinean authorities, in particular the Prime Minister Doctor Bernard Goumou. In her speech, the president of CONOR Mariame Satina DIALLO said she was convinced that once these statutes are adopted, Guinean football will move towards a new dynamic. For his part, Minister Lansana Béa Diallo recalled the importance of this version of the statutes which will thus end CONOR’s mandate on November 30, and will lead to the election of a new executive office for the federation.
