Subsidized electric motorbikes are increasing in number. Some are even sold starting at Rp. 5 million, what are the specifications?
There are seven new electric motorbikes that are certain to get a discount of IDR 7 million. The seven motorbikes are known to meet the requirements in the form of a minimum Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 40% as required by the government. Two of the seven electric motorbikes are also sold at quite pocket-friendly prices, which are in the range of IDR 5 million.
Is an electric motorcycle made by bicycle manufacturer PT Roda Pasifik Mandiri named Exotic Sterrato and Exotic Vito. The Exotic Sterrarto costs IDR 5.59 million, while the Exotic Vito sells for IDR 5.79 million. The rest, electric motorbikes receiving subsidies are sold for over Rp. 6 million.
Specifications for subsidized electric motorbikes worth IDR 5 million
Exotic Sterrato is an electric motorcycle designed with a unique design. The Sterrato measures 1,800 mm in length, 550 mm in width, 1,050 mm in height and 400 mm in footrests.
This electric motorbike is also equipped with various features such as Alarm Alert, Motor Lock, Vehicle Find, Start Safety System, Digital Speedometer, USB Charger Port, tubeless tires, to the LED Stop lamp.
This electric motorbike is equipped with a 60V/20.2 Ah battery with 800 W electric motor power. The maximum speed of this electric motorbike is 50 km/h with three choices of driving modes namely Eco, Normal and Sport. With this battery, the motorbike can travel up to 55 km and has a maximum payload of 150 kg.
Apart from the Sterrato, the Exotic Mizone electric motorbike is also priced at around IDR 5 million. In terms of dimensions, Mizone is bigger than Sterrato. Mizone has dimensions of 1,845 mm in length, 575 mm in width, 1,100 mm in height, and a footrest length of 300 mm. This motorbike weighs 96 kg.
The battery has a capacity of 48 V/ 32.2 Ah. While the power from the electric motor is 48 V/1,000 Watt. Exotic Mizone can cover a distance of 85 km with 4 driving modes namely Eco, Normal, Sport and Boost. In terms of features, there are Security Alarm Alert, Motor Lock, Find Vehicle, and Keyless Mode.
Keep in mind, yes, even though the price is Rp. 5 million, not all people can ask for her hand. As stipulated in Regulation of the Minister of Industry No.6 of 2023, there are four consumers who are allowed to buy subsidized electric motorbikes, namely recipients of KUR (People’s Business Credit), recipients of Micro Business Productive Assistance (BUPM), recipients of wage subsidy assistance, and recipients of electricity subsidies up to 900 VA.
