“The Seventh Day” advises its readers, through the “Reduce Your Consumption and Reduce Pressure on the Electricity Network” initiative, to follow some steps when the electricity is restored due to the presence of power outages resulting from a lack of fuel in light of the high temperatures, and therefore it is advised to follow some steps when the electricity is restored to maintain the safety of the house
Especially in light of the high temperatures and to ensure that there is no exposure to electrical short circuits, which prevents the occurrence of any accidents to preserve the safety of citizens, as follows:
1- Unplug the electrical appliances from the source by removing the plug when the power goes out.
2- Wait a few minutes after the power is back on and reconnect (turn on) the electrical appliances.
3- Make sure to fill the water heater before connecting the electricity (by opening the heater tap and making sure that the water comes out of it).
4- The grounding of sensitive electrical appliances such as computers, televisions, and full-automatic washing machines must be separate from the grounding of the rest of the appliances, in order to protect them from exposure to voltage fluctuations associated with the operation of high-load appliances such as air conditioning, refrigerators, and deep freezers.
