Arc A770 Graphics Card: Price, Performance, and Updates

The question is why? Why hide a cheap and decently equipped card and not do a proper promo? At the same time, Arc cards have matured quite nicely and there is no shame in owning them.

They’ve matured, but it’s still not perfect because of the drivers. At launch, the performance of the Arc cards was tragic, games crashed, controllers didn’t work, and the cards, while solidly equipped, failed to show their potential. Now the cards are normally usable, although there is still room for improvement. However, there is one big plus and that is the price. Arc A770 with 16GB of memory and rich equipment will cost you NOK 9,000, which is not entirely in vain. Unfortunately, apart from Intel, only ASRock and Acer have caught on to Arc cards, so the offer is not as varied as it seems.

However, ASRock now offers 16GB model (until now, only the A770 8GB was available) and for a good price 329 dollars. The configuration of the card is 2200 MHz on the GPU, 256-bit bus, 16GB of memory with a speed of 17.5 Gbps and with two power 8pins. The Phantom Gaming model has a cooler with three fans, and as usual, they will turn off without a real load. It will be interesting to see if Acer and ASRock tease the prices, which could only benefit buyers. As much as buying Arc A770 cards may still seem dubious, the situation is getting better with each driver.
