Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo RI (Jokowi) emphasized that law enforcement officials must maintain public trust. He asked that there be no more officials who toy with the law.
Jokowi asked that apparatus accountability be improved and community services continue to be improved. This was conveyed by Jokowi in a speech at the 63rd Commemoration Ceremony of Bhakti Adhyaksa Day in Jakarta. “Continue to improve apparatus accountability and continue to improve public services,” he said, Saturday (22/7).
The number one person in Indonesia reiterated that he did not want any more prosecutors to play with the law even though they knew they were individuals. He does not want any apparatus to entrust projects to entrust imported goods.
“No more prosecutors, although I know these are individuals who play with the law, entrust project partners, entrust imported goods and various other dishonorable actions,” he said.
Jokowi said that this message was not only for all law enforcement officers, not only the Attorney General’s Office but also the Police, KPK, and auditors.
“And my message is not only for the prosecutor’s apparatus, but also for all of our law enforcement officers. Including the National Police, KPK, supervisors, auditors both at the central and regional levels,” he concluded.
Not only that, President Jokowi praised the hard work of the Attorney General’s Office in returning state financial losses. Jokowi hopes that the hard work will continue.
“I appreciate the Attorney General’s steps in recovering significant state losses in recent years. I appreciate the hard work and performance of the Attorney General’s Office,” Jokowi said.
Jokowi said prosecutors had an important role in protecting the interests of the state and preventing misuse of state finances. Jokowi said the Attorney General’s Office played an important role in resolving various state land disputes to international trade disputes.
