The mayor of Timisoara, Dominic Fritz, announced on his Facebook page on Friday evening that he will not allow a speech like that of businessman Dan Dinu, who referred to him as “Nazi chicken leprosy”, to become normal in Timisoara, reports news.ro. Fritz specified that he will also address the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD) and will take legal action against the author, as well as those who distributed his post.
“”Nazi chicken leprosy”. These are the words with which, in a recent post, Dan Dinu, a businessman from Timisoara, addresses the mayor of Timisoara. “Nazi chicken leprosy”. These are the words liked by, among others, the parliamentarian Titi Stoica (AUR), the PNL parliamentarian Cosmin Şandru (sent to court by DNA), the former state secretary of the Ministry of Culture Ion Ardeal Ieremia (PSD), the local PNL councilor Lorenzo Barabas, the PNL county councilor Liviu Cocean, the lawyer Claudiu Butuza or the journalist and former president of the Timisoara Rotary club Lia Lucia Epure. The comments under the post about “Nazi chicken leprosy” appeared quickly: “Well done, Mr. Dan Dinu…this Nazi shit must be expelled”, “You tell him for nothing, this was raised in the camp…”, “This invertebrate has no (head), only a lice extension to the body”, wrote Dominic Fritz, on his Facebook page.
The mayor from Timisoara stated that in Romania one out of two students is the victim of bullying only because those around them are silent when they should take a stand.
“In Romania, 1 out of 2 students is the victim of acts of threat, humiliation or physical violence. Romania ranks 3rd in terms of bullying in the ranking of the 42 countries in which the phenomenon was investigated, according to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO). I am not intimidated by Dan Dinu or other bullies who approve of such a racist, vulgar, violent, anti-European and anti-Timisorian speech. But like each of us, I have a responsibility for all the children and adults from Timisoara who become victims of bullying just because those around them look the other way”, added Dominic Fritz.
Fritz, who also posted a photo from his childhood, announced that he will address the CNCD, as well as the court.
“I will not allow such a speech to become normal in Timisoara, no matter who is its target. That’s why I will complain about the post to the National Council for Combating Discrimination and I will sue the author and all those who distributed it. PS.: In the picture, Dominic is holding his beloved parents”, added Dominic Fritz.
The businessman from Timisoara Dan Dinu posted, on his Facebook page, images of terraces in France, next to which he posted the text: “Dominic Fritz stop taking pictures of you with Malkovich, because you have no merit. Look at this post and screw it up, Nazi chicken leprosy!”.
The scandal between Dan Dinu and Dominic Fritz broke out in October 2021, when the mayor decided to close the brewery owned by Dinu for 15 days. The reason cited was that, located in a space owned by Timişoara City Hall, it disturbs the public peace. The businessman sued Fritz, demanding damages of 20,000 lei for each day the brewery did not work, reports news.ro
