The last time a large relative of the Tank 500 model was seen on tests this spring. Since then, the SUV, preparing to receive the 800 index and become the largest representative of the Great Wall sub-brand line, has never hit the lenses of photo spies. But right up until today.
New images of the Tank 800 test prototype, which was filmed while driving on the roads of China, have appeared on the Web. Judging by them, the car will get exactly the same design with a high hood, massive grille and rectangular headlight clusters that the 2021 concept car of the same name had.
There are no technical details about the “eight hundredth” yet, but there are rumors that its length will be equal to 5.2 meters, the width will be more than 2 meters, and the height will be 1.9 meters.
It is assumed that the Tank 800 will get an air suspension with adaptive dampers, as well as a 3-liter twin-turbo gasoline engine, which will be coupled with a 48-volt starter-alternator.
The timing of the premiere of the car is not disclosed, but, most likely, the car will be shown no earlier than next year. One of the options is the Beijing Motor Show, which will be held in the Chinese capital in April 2024.
After the release of the Tank 800 for sale in China, it will certainly appear on the Russian market. Great Wall registered the rights to his design last spring.
