There is a fire in a detached house in the center of Stavanger, and the police are asking people in the surrounding area to close the windows.
According to Stavanger Aftenblad the house must have caught fire and the risk of spreading must have been great. Fire crews are on the scene, where there is heavy smoke.
In an update, Sørvest police district writes that it is still burning, but that the smoke has subsided somewhat.
