Apple wants to make sure you know that Argentinian soccer superstar Lionel Messi is making his Major League Soccer debut tonight. The only place you can watch it is on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV+.
On July 21st, Inter Miami takes on LIGA MX’s Cruz Azul to open the Leagues Cup. Messi, who is currently being hailed as the best soccer player in the world, will make his MLS debut in this game.
Apple owns the exclusive rights to stream Major League Soccer 2023, which means you can only watch the game with the MLS Season Pass.
The game will feature outstanding production moments in honor of Messi’s debut. This includes 18 cameras including steadicam, super slow motion, skycam and drone coverage. There will also be an hour-long pregame show with interviews, features, expert analysis and a postgame show.
“Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami marks a historic moment for esports in the United States and reflects the incredible momentum behind Major League Soccer,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, in an interview press release.
“We are very excited to offer fans around the world the opportunity to see the greatest footballer of all time in the MLS Season Pass.”
The MLS Season Pass is available for $14.99 per month or $99 per season. Apple TV+ subscribers get a slight discount of $12.99 per month or $79 for the season. Season ticket holder receives a free access pass to the MLS Season Pass.
Apple Fitness+ has launched a new 20-minute HIIT workout celebrating Messi’s arrival in MLS. This workout includes a Latin Grooves playlist led by Fitness+ Instructor Bakari Williams. The workout consists of four movements with soccer-themed variations that are repeated throughout the session.
Bakari and the other coaches wear Inter Miami jerseys while playing music from the team’s Apple Music playlist. The playlist showcases Latin American culture and captures the energy and sounds of the club’s hometown.
