The NBA 2K24 Summer League has been the second most viewed in history behind the 2019 edition and it is no wonder. Being the showcase of young promises like The animalthere have been 76 games that have not disappointed and that leave us the Cavs as champions of the first Summer League in tournament edition. The Cavs, winners of the NBA 2K24 Summer League
The beginnings
In 2004, we attended the first edition under the name of “Las vegas Summer League” where a total of 13 games were played between 6 teams: Celtics, Cavs, Nuggets, Orlando, Suns and Wizards.
In 2005 and 2006 there were 16 teams that competed in this league, while in 2007 the Chinese team was invited to be part of it, being the first time that an international team was invited.
In 2008 the league increased to 22 teams, inviting the NBA Development League player selection to join in 2009.
It is from 2018 when all NBA franchises begin to have representation in the Summer League, 2020 being the only summer without games due to COVID-19.
For the first time in 2022, this league is played in a tournament format where the Cavs were proclaimed champions.
