TIM Phase III Revitalization Scandal, Allegedly There Was Abuse of Power in the Anies Baswedan Era

WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA — The initiator of the Jakarta Barometer, Jim Lomen Sihombing, urged the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta to conduct a forensic audit into the scandal of the Phase III Revitalization of Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta, which was carried out during the era of Governor Anies Baswedan.

According to Jim Lomen, the case uncovered by the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) involving PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) and two other companies needs special attention, because it was alleged that there was an abuse of power at that time.

“KPPU has decided that PT Jakpro as DKI BUMD is guilty and involved in the conspiracy of the TIM phase III revitalization project,” said Jim Lomen in his official statement, Friday (21/7/2023) evening.

Jim Lomen also urged related parties to use their rights to expose the collusion case which is full of concoctions. He said, transparency is an urgent need to fight corruption.

“Arbitrary policies in utilizing power are brutal actions in managing government. Not only for Jakpro, Jim Lomen also suggested that a similar audit be carried out for all DKI BUMDs.

It is known that the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) has decided that PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk, and PT Jaya Construction Manggala Pratama Tbk are proven guilty.
