Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner Affirms Record Funding for Families in Coalition Dispute

In the coalition dispute over basic child security, Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) has again rejected the accusation of not providing enough money for families. “There is no saving when it comes to families, children and education. On the contrary: We are providing record funds,” Lindner told the Funke newspapers on Friday. “In view of the public debate, my experts have determined that the family policy benefits of the federal government are being financed by us with 18.4 billion euros more than in 2019.”
