To benefit adults living in poverty, the Private Assistance Board of the State of Mexico (JAPEM) calls on the population to contribute by donating warm clothes during the remaining days of July and until August 21; this, in order to deliver what was collected, through nursing homes and community centers, at the beginning of the autumn-winter season.
In this sense, JAPEM has certified eight institutions that directly care for 138 elderly people in vulnerable conditions, through the asylum or day home service, which are located in Polotitlán, Acolman, Jocotitlán, Ecatepec, Axapusco, Valle de Bravo, Metepec and Toluca.
In this campaign, the participation of society is requested to donate blankets, blankets or covers, women’s and men’s sweaters, worsted hats and gloves, scarves, slippers, shawls and vests, as well as socks, new, clean and in good condition garments.
“We hope that Mexican families support this cause, through new, clean and in good condition clothes, since people expect to receive not only a nice gift, but a message of love and human warmth,” explained María del Pilar Mociño, alternate executive secretary of JAPEM.
