Singapore being hit by a series of scandals this July. Corruption scandals to infidelity seemed to surface simultaneously.
As reported AFPchaos is enveloping the world of politics Singapore. Cases of corruption and extramarital affairs have forced a number of public officials to resign.
The first is Minister of Transport S Iswaran. He was arrested over a rare top-level corruption probe that also ensnared a hotel tycoon.
Singapore’s anti-corruption agency has not disclosed details of the investigation into Iswaran, who was released on bail and has been ordered on leave.
Cabinet ministers in Singapore are paid salaries comparable to those of the highest earners in the private sector to prevent corruption.
