The criteria for considering a Vaccinated farm “Complete bluetongue vaccination schedule (2 doses separated 21 days in cattle and 1 dose in sheep)”, is that the 66% of the farm have complied with it. The day of vaccination in sheep or revaccination (2nd bovine dose), will be taken as a reference for the annual revaccination period of the next season. As for who does the vaccination, as a general rule:
□ Beef:
▪ Non-vaccinated farms that have not yet undergone sanitation, the farms EULEN vaccine; in this case the calves will be vaccinated at the same time.
▪ Non-vaccinated farms in which sanitation has already been carried out, are vaccinated lFree veterinarians, although they can request it at their veterinary unit to estimate the possibility that EULEN will do it in TWO days that he will sweep (July 28 and August 18).
▪ Vaccines calves from farms that have already been cleaned up, vaccinate them free vets.
▪ Farms vaccinated with a complete regimen, that are going to carry out sanitation and want to vaccinate calves, must notify the UV in advance, when they are summoned for sanitation, informing them of the number of calves to be vaccinated and in this case the calves will be vaccinated by OWLSthe revaccination of the calves will be carried out free vets.
□ Sheep: they vaccinate free veterinarians, although they can ask for it in their veterinary unit to estimate the possibility that EULEN will do it in TWO days that he will sweep (July 28 and August 18).
