Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Eating too much sugar can lead to obesity, diabetes and heart disease. In the long term, reducing your daily sugar intake can promote weight loss, improve dental health, and reduce your risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
It turns out that there are several signs that the body needs a sugar detox. This sign can be recognized, although most people are not aware of it.

1. Feeling tired and lethargic
Sugar levels that are too high in the body can make you feel weak and tired easily. This can be an early symptom and can be used as an alarm for you to do a sugar detox immediately.

This condition occurs because the body is already experiencing an intolerance to sugar. As a result, you want sweeter foods to satisfy your cravings, so even sweet foods don’t taste sweet enough.
4. Hard to focus
Too much sugar can actually cause blood sugar levels to spike, which has been linked to a number of cognitive problems and temporarily impairs thinking. If you find it difficult to focus, this could be a sign that your body has excess sugar and needs an immediate detox.
5. Insomnia
Excessive sugar consumption can make it difficult for you to sleep, aka insomnia. You see, consuming sugar can make the energy level in the body unbalanced.
When melatonin production in the body is inhibited, you will not sleep well. Therefore, for a good night’s sleep, stop craving sweets.
