After Russia withdrew from the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain, Ukraine is in the process of establishing an alternative shipping route, an official letter shows.
After withdrawing from the agreement, Russia has attacked the port of Odesa, which is located on the Black Sea and is an important export port, for two nights in a row.
In a letter to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Ukraine writes that it will create a recommended shipping route on a temporary basis. The route is intended to enter the territorial waters and economic zones of neighboring Romania.
– The aim is to facilitate the opening of international shipping in the north-west of the Black Sea, writes Acting Infrastructure Minister Vasyl Shkurakov in the letter to the UN body.
