Rot-Weiss Oberhausen – Borussia Dortmund 2:2
Tore: 1:0 Ezekwem (7.), 1:1 Reus (14.), 1:2 Papadopoulos (49.), 2:2 Ruzgis (69.), 2:3 Bamba (90.)
Borussia Dortmund struggled to get their next win in the second pre-season test. Coach Edin Terzic’s team won 3-2 (1-1) at the regional league club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen with a last-minute goal. A week earlier, the Bundesliga side had easily defeated fifth division side Westfalia Rhynern 7-0.
BVB, who started without any new signings or national players, fell behind early on due to Cottrell Ezekwem (7th). Marco Reus (14th) equalized, Antonios Papadopoulos (49th) initially turned the match in favor of Borussia. A long-range shot by Manfredas Ruzgis (69′) gave Oberhausen a deserved 2-2, before Samuel Bamba (90′) secured victory for BVB with the last action of the game.
Dortmund will play at Rot-Weiss Erfurt on Saturday. Two days later it’s off to the USA, where BVB is testing against top English clubs Manchester United (July 31) and Chelsea (August 3).
