Two presumed hit men from the Farc dissidents who would be involved in a so-called ‘Pistol Plan’ against the Public Force in the Amazon were sent to jail. Apparently, leaders of the criminal organization would have sent them to the department to carry out armed attacks against the police officers.
At the request of a prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations, a guarantee control judge imposed a custodial measure in prison on Diego Fernando Perea Márquez, alias Perea; and Carlos Arlindo Panaifo Yaicate, alias Charly, two notorious hit men from the Carolina Ramírez structure of the Farc dissidents.
These two people would have been sent from Putumayo to Amazonas to control the exit of shipments of narcotics through the border areas with Brazil and Peru. Additionally, they would be involved in the planning and execution of a so-called ‘pistol plan’ against the public forces that the illegal armed group intended to impose in the region.
The evidence indicates that alias Perea and Charly would receive 10 million pesos for each police officer who was killed in the department. In addition, they received the instruction to put posters on the chest of the victims with messages alluding to the so-called Amazon front of the FARC dissidents.
The two alleged hitmen were captured in search and raid proceedings carried out by units of the National Police in Leticia (Amazon). During the procedure, a firearm with a silencer, cartridges and suppliers were found.
For these events, a prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations accused them of conspiracy to commit a crime; and manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. The charges were not accepted.
