More than 200,000 books for teacher training began to be distributed in public and private higher education institutes throughout the country. This is the Training Teachers Collection, which includes 42 titles from 17 publishers. It demanded an investment of 426 million pesos from the national State.
The Ministry of Education, through the National Institute for Teacher Training (Infod), presented -before the winter break- the new collection that includes 210,000 books on different themes. During the presentation, the Minister of Education, Jaime Perczyk, stressed that the set of books is “a selection made by Infod, by professionals and by federal commissions, with the participation of the institutes and the provinces.”
The minister stressed the importance of including “pedagogical, cultural, philosophical knowledge, materials about youth and research, in order to update the needs that teachers have in training.”
“We distribute books in kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, and now also a collection for teacher training with a significant investment from the state,” he highlighted, during a tour of the Envaplast company facilities where school books are consolidated for its subsequent distribution in the 24 jurisdictions.

She also assured that the collection addresses “the issues that are of interest and that are crucial today, so that our institutes can train the best teachers.”
Among the themes that can be found in the collection are teaching work, analysis of educational practices, general didactics, management and government of institutions, pedagogical re-linking, intercultural education, use of technologies and digital media with a pedagogical sense, environmental education, comprehensive sexual education, human rights education, among others.
