Lebanon Weather Update: High Temperatures, Risk of Fires, and Fog

The Meteorological Authority in Lebanon announced that the effect of hot air masses currently concentrated over the Arabian Peninsula on Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean continues with relatively high temperatures, especially in the interior and mountainous areas, while the high humidity increases the intensity of feeling hot on the coast.

The authority warned of the risk of fires breaking out in forested areas and of exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours, as it is advised to drink plenty of fluids.

The expected weather in Lebanon:

Wednesday: Cloudy with little change in temperature, with high humidity on the coast, which increases the feeling of heat. Fog also forms, starting from low altitudes during the evening period, which leads to poor visibility.

Thursday: few clouds with fog starting from low altitudes during the early morning with bad visibility sometimes, it turns during the day to sunny and the temperatures remain relatively high, especially on the mountains and indoors, and high humidity remains on the coast, which leads to an increase in heat.

Friday: few clouds without a significant change in temperature, and the humidity remaining high on the coast increases the feeling of heat, and we go back and remind of the risk of fires breaking out in forested places.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with fog on the heights during the morning period without a significant change in temperatures on the coast accompanied by a high humidity that leads to an increase in the feeling of heat, while the temperatures rise on the mountains and in the interior, which are above their seasonal rates, and if we are reminded of the need not to be directly exposed to sunlight During the afternoon and drink more fluids.
